Track Your Leaflet Drops

Leafletter helps track where leaflets have been distributed to promote campaigns. Volunteers log their trips to avoid doubling-up on routes, and organizers can track progress and direct others.

Volunteers don't need accounts to log their leaflet drops and their work is visible to all. Managers need accounts to create and manage campaigns.

Create and Manage Campaigns

Use the "Manage Campaigns" option from the dropdown menu at the top right to create new campaigns or update existing ones. Managing campaigns is too hard to do from a little phone screen. Go to https://leafletter.app/manage from a computer.

How we use AI

When you add streets by describing them, your message is sent to a hosted AI model along with the campaign's list of street names and a note of which trip-form fields are still empty. The model's only job is to turn your words into a short list of street operations, for example "add Central Avenue between Elm Street and Walnut Street". Our own software then finds those streets on the map. The model never sees the map, your selections, or anything you have already typed into the name, email, or notes fields.

Zero Data Retention. We route every request only to providers that operate in Zero Data Retention mode. In that mode the provider handles the request in memory, returns the answer, and keeps no copy of what you typed or what the model replied. It does not log the conversation and does not use it to train models. We enforce this in two places: as a setting on our account with the routing service, and as a flag on every individual request, so a configuration mistake cannot quietly route a message to a provider that stores data.

What we keep. The conversation is stored on our side, attached to the trip you submit, so we can debug problems and improve the feature. It is visible only to Leafletter administrators, never to other volunteers or the public. See the Privacy Policy below for retention.

Privacy Policy

Leafletter is a volunteer coordination tool for leaflet distribution campaigns. We are committed to being transparent about the limited data we collect.

Data we collect

• Volunteers — No account is required. When you log a trip, the streets you select and a timestamp are stored. Providing your name, email, or notes is optional; if you do, they are stored with the trip and are visible to the campaign's manager, but not to other volunteers or the public.
• Chat — If you describe a trip in words instead of (or alongside) drawing it, your messages are sent to a hosted AI model to interpret street names. What's sent is the message itself, the campaign's street list, and which trip-form fields (name, email, notes) are still empty — never the contents of fields you've already filled in. The model provider processes this under a zero-data-retention policy: it does not store the messages or street list beyond answering the request, and does not train on them. The conversation transcript is kept with the trip on our side, for debugging and quality purposes, and is visible only to Leafletter administrators. See How we use AI.
• Campaign organizers — Creating or managing a campaign requires an account. We store your username and email address.
• Usage analytics — We use Google Analytics to understand aggregate usage patterns (page views, session counts). Google Analytics may set cookies and collect anonymized IP addresses. See Google's Privacy Policy for details. Leafletter also keeps its own first-party usage logs (page views, timings, feature usage) on our own servers, alongside Google Analytics; these never include personal information.

What we do not collect

• We do not use your device's GPS or location services.
• We do not collect payment information.
• We do not sell personal data, and the only third party we share it with is the AI model provider used for chat trip entry, described above, under a zero-data-retention policy.

Data retention and deletion

Organizer accounts and associated campaign data are retained while the account is active. Chat transcripts are retained indefinitely alongside the trip they belong to. To request deletion of your account or data, contact us at the address below.
